Minutes

Participants: André Schöning, Sandro Bravar, Christoph Grab, Wei Shen, Lukas Gerritzen, Frank Meier

Options for chip:

• Modify RC filter

• Introduce a simple additional threshold with a fixed amount (add a second transistor shifted by fixed amount attached to the circuit determining the second threshold). Fully correlated to the second threshold. Not a minor modification to the chip, will take 1-2 months extra, likely not be reachable by November.

November deadline is important.

Decisions for the next version:

• Implement bug-fixes:

  • synchronous reset

  • data rate for short data format

• Make some other simple modifications

  • Rearranging pads: analog on top, digital on bottom introducing a clear separation of digital and analog on the chip

  • Power-up reset circuit (will take some time)

  • Diode for temperature measurement

  • Disentangling E and T

• Postpone third threshold to after first experience in data-taking. This is tentative. Wei will continue simulations until next meeting where we can reconsider.

• Next meeting: week of 6 August (week 32). Quorum: Sandro and Wei. Wei will send a mail to the list of people in about two weeks.

  • Discuss also option of flip-chipping
