On December 6th, 2016, Bert Halperin celebrated his 75th birthday.
With this in mind, the organizational committee will hold a
symposium July 3-6 at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland.
Most of the invited speakers have had a close connection
with Bert Halperin.
The goal of this symposium is to discuss interesting concepts in
condensed matter physics, field theory, and the physics of
living matter, and to address important open problems in these
fields. Experiments will also be discussed that shed light
on these concepts.
