Numerical investigation of the Kagome Ising model with Monte Carlo techniques

Description

The J1-J2-J3 antiferromagnetic Kagome Ising model presents magnetic frustration due to the lattice geometry. As a consequence, some phases exhibit macroscopic degeneracy of the minimal energy configurations. This model was studied using Monte-Carlo methods, with the goal of characterizing the different phases and their residual entropies. More specifically, the study focuses on the Chevrons phase, which is the least understood phase up to now. Different ground-state configurations as well as the structure factor are thus computed, allowing the characterization of the phase and the identification of a possible long-range order.
