Welcome to the Indico page of the 'Internal Workshop on Tailored Soft X-Ray Pulses'.
The first phase of the X-ray laser facility SwissFEL is nearing completion at the Paul Scherrer Institute.
Detailed planning has now begun on the soft X-ray branch ATHOS, and an internal Workshop on “Tailored Soft X-ray Pulses” will be held at PSI on May 11-12, 2016 to discuss options for its possible novel operating modes (2-colors, high bandwidth, laser seeding/slicing, high-brightness SASE, etc.).
During 1 1/2 days, the Workshop will cover the three themes: “Tailoring schemes”, “Advanced experiments” and “Facility plans”, and will conclude with a general “structured discussion”.
