We are pleased to invite you to participate to an Industry Information Day for the SLS 2.0 (Swiss Light Source) upgrade program in Villigen – Switzerland.

This webinar will be broadcast on the 9th February 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.

The event is jointly organised by PSI (Paul Scherrer Institute) and the Swiss ILO (Industry Liaison Office for Research facilities).

At the webinar, representatives of interested Swiss and international companies will be provided with information about the PSI procurement rules, given an introduction to the SLS 2.0 project and receive an overview  of the upcoming SLS2.0 commercial tenders.

The procurements arising from this programme concern mostly the replacement of the following components:

  • Bending magnets of the accelerator ring
  • Undulator magnets
  • Vacuum chambers
  • Power supplies
  • Beamline components (XRay monochromators, mirrors)
  • RF cavities and amplifiers
  • Girders
  • Instrumentation
  • IT Infrastructure for fast data handling

The SLS 2.0 machine upgrade construction program will run over the period 2021-2025 and has a budget of  approximately 100 MCHF from the Swiss government, which will be complemented by substantial additional funding from PSI and other sources.
