Description

Since the start of ESRF-EBS, the Extremely Brilliant Source upgrade, the new beamline control system, BLISS, is in production on half of the ESRF beamlines since August 2021, with deployment on all beamlines planned for 2024. BLISS is a Python library and a set of tools to empower scientists with the ability to write and to execute complex data acquisition sequences. BLISS is made of mini frameworks, to standardize and ease the integration of various devices like motor controllers, multi-channel analyzers, regulation devices, or 2D detectors. BLISS also includes a powerful command line interface, a visualization tool (Flint) and advanced data management features enabling online data analysis. This talk will present an overview of the BLISS project, focusing on feature highlights and technical information as well
as feedback from real experiments conducted with BLISS.
