Andreas:
Proposals submitted: muX, ReferenceRadii, and QUARTET
24/01 - 25/01 open users meeting --> Deciding if/how much beamtime
Michael:
TreeWriter is fully operational and has been merged to the main branch --> example will be added in the scripts folder
Writing histograms in "CorrelationHistogramAnalysis" yields identical results as with data from Trees
Energy calibration: Was initially testing the fit on the efficiency runs (natural lead) and had trouble making it work due to the isotope shift. Fitting works overal very well.
Gain drift: several keV at the lead 2p-1s and several 100 eV at 1173 drift before correcting --> recalibrate and compare fitted value to literature value about an order of magnitude better, sometimes more (MB01B was almost 2 orders difference)
Katharina:
Calibration of the SDD: having some problems with the Np lines
Writing the SDD part of the analyzer --> To be tested a bit more and then ready for master?
Stella:
Re-185 and Re-187: According to literature the difference in mean square radius has been "accurately" measured. However, not a lot of info is present on the mass and field shift. The sign of the change in mean square radius might even be wrong. Thomas will contact atomic theory groups to see what they can do.
Nilesh:
Heavily focused on writing thesis (deadline in april)
Thomas:
New student in Leuven will be joining muX in September (Marie Deseyn). Her project will be centered around charge radii of silver isotopes (107, 108m, 109)
Target preparation: Motor generator broke --> No potassium samples prepared in LIS before September --> Alternative options are being explored (iThemba LAB in South Africa seems open for it, offline 1 in CERN should also work)
Silver 107 has been irradiated at ILL. Tests at offline 1 (CERN) will happen somewhere this year and after that the mass separation and implantation will be sheduled at ISOLDE.
