Interoperable data management for fundamental battery research

Abstract:

This talk will present three related endeavours in research data management for the chemical and materials science. First, the OPTIMADE API will be introduced, with an outlook on its specific applications for materials discovery. The datalab (working title) software, a prototype API and web UI for capturing, annotating and analysing experimental materials chemistry data will then be presented, with the specific aim of fostering connections between group-level research management APIs. Finally, a recent MaRDA working group on collaborative metadata extractors will be discussed, along with current progress towards a decentralized registry and common API for executing parser code for experimental data file formats.
