Stella:

While at cern, talked with Mia Au about feasibility of radium implantation at isolde.

First test needed before real implantation (~5µg)

Would be tough to get for next year --> Thomas will start preparing an LOI

Michael:

Timing:

  • New ELET timing algorithm --> Works well
  • Slight improvement over naive model for most detectors
  • Depending on detector, up to 40% improvement over the exact extrapolation!
  • After fixing time offsets ~5.5 ns standard deviation at 713 keV (2p-1s potassium)

Gaindrift:

  • Looks quite good for most detectors
  • Using moving average windows to gain in statistics while keeping the granularity of recalibration
  • Some detectors seemingly still have some trends in the residuals --> Michael will follow up on this
  • Some detectors show some clear quadratic residuals (while being quite small) --> Nice potential improvement

Katharina:

Looking at SDD data

SDD centered trees

Working with template fitting looks quite good, but no real improvement on energy --> Perhaps better for timing

Risetimes should increase the later they arrive (slow charge collection) --> Might be useful

Chisquare cuts, timing improvement, ... in progress

BVR:

muX: analyze current data and prepare for campaign in 2025 --> No progress report needed

reference radii: New campaign would be nice, but what do we want to do? If lanthanum we need to start reaching out to the right people --> Thomas will follow up on this
