Andreas:
Emilio has a 1% pure 53Mn sample --> Not pure enough for germanium, but interesting with 2p-2s using quartet
n^3 scaling, so 8 times less accurate, 8 times higher energy precision needed (8 times smaller nuclear polarization effects)
Low energy germaniums won't arrive on time for the campaign :(
No detectors from IFIN this year
Michael:
Losing a lot of calibrtion statistics in anticoincidence window --> Window can be narrower without polluting the spectrum
By moving from [-10; 10] µs to [-5, 1] µs we already gain nearly a factor 2 on the macroscopic sample runs
Comment Frederik: You should show that it affects statistics, but not position systematically --> Michael will follow up on this
War war:
Made detector list
From Leuven: Planar (from telescope) works, perhaps newly refurbished 90% detector
Investigating required stopping depth of the muons in La, Lu, Si
enriched Lu2O3 only 20 mg lutetium mass
comment Michael, we have more than enough for Si, La, and natural Lu; Broadening the interaction spot to r=1cm doesn't help --> Take more depth/less surface area
Effect of a mylar degrader: 100-500 µm --> Andreas: Don't forget the entrance detector --> War War will follow up on this
Stella:
Cascade code fixing absolute energies
2 unused parameters, which have some effect on the output intensities
Not entirely clear why, will investigate further
