Description

Ocelot is an open-source, Python-based multiphysics simulation code developed for FEL and storage ring light sources. It provides native modules for 6D particle tracking with collective effects, synchrotron radiation calculation, and wavefront propagation, as well as a convenient interface to Genesis for FEL simulations. In this talk, we focus on Ocelot’s capabilities for beam dynamics studies, present experimental validation of some collective effects models used in Ocelot, and highlight practical applications of Ocelot in the EuXFEL control room for operational support and optimization.
