In this talk we will present an overview on discontinuous Galerkin discretizations
for different applications, ranging from porous media flow, i.e. fuel cells, to numerical
weather prediction. The talk will highlight analytical as well as implementation
aspects of the considered discretization. Numerical examples will demonstrate the
effectivity and efficiency of the approach.
