Preliminay Programme
****
The Small Angle Scattering Tensor Tomography (SASTT) school, to be held at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, Switzerland, will give an in depth introduction to SASTT. We will start with a general introduction to computed tomography (CT), small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), and scanning SAXS before we go through SAXS tensor tomography where we will cover the theorectical background, experimental implementation, reconstruction algorithms, analysis and visualizations. We will in particularly look into reconstruction using our open-source software package MUMOTT (mumott.org) in tutorials and hands-on session. Hands-on session also include practical setup at two beamlines at SLS. A small group project will be performed focusing on writing a mock proposal for obtaining beamtime which will be evaluated at the end of the school. The week will be completed by hearing selected scientific cases using SASTT and texture tomography.
