Recent Developments in C-band and X-band Accelerating Technologies at NSRL

WBGB/019
To support the implementation of the linear injector for the proposed Jinhua Light Source (JHLS) project, a 1-meter C-band constant-gradient (CG) traveling-wave (TW) accelerating structure is being developed, with the goal of achieving a gradient of ≥ 40 MV/m. A C-band spherical pulse compressor is also under development to boost the output power from the klystron. In addition, an X-band klystron capable of producing a peak output power of 6 MW has been acquired to establish a test platform at our laboratory. This presentation will cover recent developments in C-band and X-band technologies at the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (NSRL), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), including progress on accelerating structures and pulse compressors.
