Zurich is well connected by air and rail. Participants can reach the city easily through Zurich Airport or by international and domestic train connections to Zürich HB, the city’s main railway station.
Arriving by plane
Zurich Airport is the main international airport serving Zurich and is directly connected to the Swiss public transport network. The airport has its own railway station: Zürich Flughafen.
Trains from Zurich Airport to Zürich HB run frequently. Zurich Airport indicates that trains to Zurich main station depart about every 10 minutes and take approximately 15 minutes.

Arriving by train
Zurich’s main railway station, Zürich HB, is one of the main railway hubs in Switzerland. It offers frequent domestic and international connections.
From Zürich HB, participants can continue to ETH Hönggerberg by public transport. The recommended route is tram 11 to Bucheggplatz, followed by bus 69 to ETH Hönggerberg.
Public transport in Zurich
Zurich has an extensive public transport network of trains, trams, and buses. Tickets should be purchased before travelling and must be valid for the required zones.
For travel within the city, including Zurich HB to ETH Hönggerberg, a ticket for zone 110 is required. For travel from Zurich Airport to ETH Hönggerberg, ETH Zurich indicates that a ticket for 3 zones is required.
