Description

In this short talk, I would like to give some insights into our recent efforts to explore complex non-collinear magnetic systems, from the search for new, simpler materials as hosts for magnetic skyrmions to the investigation of magnetic excitations in frustrated antiferromagnets. A particular focus will lay on our recent developments in the field of non-collinear linear response density functional theory, which pave the way for the study of magnons and their spin-flip induced decay from a fully first principles perspective.
