Dalitz Decay of Higgs: From LHC to FCC-ee 20m

The Dalitz decay of the Higgs boson ($H \to \ell^+ \ell^- \gamma$) is a rare but rich decay channel. However, studying this decay at the LHC presents a massive challenge, where tiny signal rates battle against overwhelming backgrounds. This talk explores $H \to \ell^+ \ell^- \gamma$ as a case study. We will review the current status and statistical struggles at the LHC, and demonstrate how the $e^+ e^-$ collision environment of the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee) will transform this statistically starved search into a precision measurement.

Charming physics: penguins, trees and their mirror images 20m

Exploring the charm sector of flavour physics is at first glance yet another attempt to "leave no stone unturned" in the quest for new physics (NP). As important as that endeavour is, we will discuss why observables such as CP violation might be a better stone to turn than others, what intricacies are involved in their handling, and how information from NP-proof observables can be used to determine the Standard-Model prediction for NP-sensitive observables, in the so-called data-driven approaches.
