DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Gerard Lawler (Paul Scherrer Institute)\n\nWe presen
t a combined experimental and simulation study of terahertz (THz) streakin
g as a compact and flexible tool for longitudinal diagnostics in electron
accelerator environments. By using image-domain comparison metrics and oth
er optimal transport techniques applied to streaked and un-streaked beam p
rofiles\, we improve the robustness of longitudinal bunch measurements in
 realistic conditions\, including nonlinear streaking fields\, time-of-arri
val jitter\, and beam transport distortions. Using data collected at the K
arlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) FLUTE accelerator to validate these
observables\, we explore optimized THz streaking geometries and beamline
configurations through coupled electromagnetic and particle-tracking simul
ations\, achieving improved signal-to-noise performance. The resulting fra
mework provides a scalable diagnostic approach applicable to advanced acce
lerators spanning from compact beamlines at the university scale up to lar
ge emerging facilities like EuPRAXIA at ELI Beamlines where conventional R
 F-based diagnostics are impractical.\n\nhttps://indico.psi.ch/event/18660/
