Description

The UPLIFT consortium (Upright Radiotherapy: Learning, Innovation, Fellowship and Training) is committed to advancing upright radiotherapy by addressing key scientific and clinical challenges, developing innovative solutions in imaging, treatment planning and workflows, and training the next generation of professionals. This initiative aims to revolutionise cancer treatment, making it more accessible, human-centred, and sustainable globally.

As part of this mission, we proudly present the 2nd UPLIFT School: "Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy." This comprehensive six-day event explores the latest AI innovations transforming radio- and particle therapy.

2nd UPLIFT School –  Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy joint event with AI for Particle/Radio- Therapy (AI4PT|RT) symposium

Program Highlights

  • World-Class Faculty: Hear from 17 internationally renowned speakers who will deliver expert presentations on the frontiers of radiotherapy applications and cutting-edge AI development.
  • Joint AI4PT|RT Symposium (Days 5, 6 & 7): The event culminates in a 2.5-day symposium on AI for Particle/Radio-Therapy, highlighting high-impact scientific contributions that leverage AI to enhance radiotherapy.
  • Open Scientific Presentations (Days 6 & 7): To showcase the latest research from across the community, more than 10 oral presentation slots have been exclusively reserved for open scientific submissions, selected through a competitive abstract evaluation process.
  • Poster Sessions & Travel Grants: Two interactive poster sessions provide an additional platform for early-stage researchers (ESRs) and students to present their work. To support and encourage broader participation, three travel grants will be awarded to the authors of the top-ranked abstracts.

  • Hands-On AI Academy (Days 1 & 2): Practical training sessions designed to equip beginner developers with essential AI skills tailored specifically for radiotherapy.
  • Career Development & Mentorship: Beyond the scientific presentations, dedicated mentorship sessions are integrated throughout the program to support the professional growth and career development of students and ESRs.
  • Alpine Networking (Day 2): The "Hike and Think Trail" in the Swiss Alps will provide attendees with a unique and inspiring setting to connect, collaborate, and network.

By seamlessly combining technical education, expert mentorship, and dynamic networking, the 2nd UPLIFT School is an essential experience for anyone focused on advancing the future of AI in radiotherapy and particle therapy.
