Description
Being able to measure the energy of a storage ring is important for setting up beamlines, determining accelerator physics parameters and maintaining reliable experimental conditions.
The most precise energy measurement for accelerators is based on resonant spin depolarization (RSD).
In order to optimize the energy measurement based on RSD at electron storage rings a methode to characterize the polarization and depolarization process was developed and tested at BESSY II and MLS.
