DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Cheolho Jeon\n\nThe Korea 4th Generation Synchrotron
  Radiation (K-4GSR) project is developing a state-of-the-art diffraction-l
 imited storage ring facility designed to deliver ultra-high brightness\, h
 igh coherence\, and exceptional beam stability for next-generation scienti
 fic research. The facility will serve a broad user community spanning mate
 rials science\, chemistry\, life sciences\, energy research\, environmenta
 l science\, and advanced manufacturing. \nThis seminar will provide an ov
 erview of the K-4GSR project\, including the current status of the acceler
 ator design and key performance goals. Particular emphasis will be placed 
 on the scientific opportunities enabled by a fourth-generation light sourc
 e\, such as coherent imaging\, nanoscale characterization\, operando and i
 n situ studies\, ultrafast phenomena\, and data-intensive experimental tec
 hniques supported by advanced detectors and artificial intelligence.\n \n
 The presentation will also discuss the initial beamline program\, which is
  being developed to address major scientific and industrial challenges in 
 areas including semiconductors\, batteries\, quantum materials\, structura
 l biology\, and advanced functional materials. The strategy for beamline s
 election and future expansion will be outlined in the context of evolving
