NSLS-II operations and plans for facility upgrade

After completing the NSLS-II commissioning in 2014, we have been advancing facility operations by increasing current, improving orbit stability, building new beamlines and maximizing reliability of operations. As a brief introduction to our light source, we will go over recent improvement and development projects.

NSLS-IIU is the upcoming project on upgrading our 3rd generation accelerator systems to the cutting edge of performance, as well as, adding new capabilities to our instruments. We will present status of NSLS-IIU, R&D on Complex Bend and permanent magnet designs, new storage ring lattice and plans for future developments.
