Description

SCCER Heat and Electricity Storage Paul Scherrer Institut
The large volume of electricity production capacities from the fluctuating sources wind and solar, installed in recent years is the first step towards a CO2 and nuclear waste free energy future. Nevertheless, to transform this vision  to reality, a strong focus needs to be set on mobility aspects, since long distance mobility relies heavily on fossil based energy carriers.
In light of this context, we would like to invite you to

The SCCER Heat and Electricity Storage
3rd Symposium
“Storing Renewable Energy for Future Mobility”

The first half  of the day covers the range of energy storage in general, presented by experts from academia and industry with sessions on:
- Battery technology.
- Heat storage.
- Catalytical and electrocatalytical CO2 reduction.
- Hydrogen storage.
The second half is dedicated to focal topic of the symposium. In four talks, the aspects of gas powered vehicles either fuel cell or ICE driven (by SNG) in combination with fuel production (from renewable sources) and distribution aspects are  introduced and discussed.
We hope you find the program attractive and would like to welcome you on October 26, 2015, at the Paul Scherrer Institut for discussions, sharing viewpoints or simply updating your state of knowledge.
