Description
The KEKB accelerator has been shut down, after accumulating 1 ab^-1 integrated luminosity, at a peak luminosity of 2.1x10^34 cm^-2s^-1. The upgrade of KEKB to SuperKEKB is underway, with a design luminosity 40 times higher than that of KEKB, or 8x10^35 cm^-2s^-1. The design is based on the Nano-Beam Scheme, using low emittance beams colliding at a large crossing angle, as suggested by P. Raimondi. The design will be presented, as well as the status of the construction of the SuperKEKB machine.
