LCLS-II is an upgrade of the LCLS (Linac Coherent Light Source) facility located at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. After its completion, LCLS-II will add two new laser beams with different energies that are produced from two sets of out-of-vacuum undulators - 22 soft X-ray undulators and 33 hard X-ray undulators.
The measurements of all LCLS-II components are currently in progress, the operation is planned for the beginning of the next year. During my sabbatical at SLAC, I was involved in magnetic field measurements and analysis of phase shifters and hard X-ray undulators. In this talk I will share some of my impressions and experiences acquired during that time.
