# Minutes June 2020 meeting

## General

* No muon capture beamtime this year
* 10 day elemental analysis in October
* There will be 6 page muX conference paper following the PSI2019 workshop
* Re paper is published
* 2p1s analysis in the pipeline
  PI: proposes to contact Witold Nazarewicz or Paul-Gerhard Reinhard
  AK: HD contacts are still alive (atomic calculations)
  TC: Contact York Nucl. Physics groups

## Absolute charge radii of radioactive isotopes

* Need more than 1 absolute charge radius measurements to benchmarkt the atomic calculations. (Need 3 to get 2 differences)
* Positive reponse from CERN. Maybe some work can be done in Mainz? Defense in Jun24th, final approval pending.
* TC: 40K needs some theory (nucl pol) input

## Cascade calculations

* Auger not included, not trivial, refilling depedent on environment
* Flexibility on nuclear input
* No (dynamical) hyperfine splitting included
* Auger could be included in a les sprecise model as an intermediate minutes

## Dubna update

* You need control over the analysis cuts
* Compile what you need
* analysis session

## Alex and timing/BLR

* giant BLC effect
* RP: do we see ghost lines
* Cut on extreme correction effect: Add extra flags to GeHit
* is comitted, needs to go to the master at some point
* RP: template fitting? https://aip.scitation.org/doi/full/10.1063/1.4921195

## Frederik & timing
* NW: risetime depends on the topology in the crystal
* more templates and FOM of the fit can improve template fitting

## Nilesh gain and efficiency
* TC: Issues with true summing in the detector. Check for which peaks this happening
* TC: need low energy peaks to properly fit this complicated eff. model
* FW: use coincidence from e.g. 60Co
* SV: recheck 8YY source activity
* FW: energy and eff calibration has to be redone when we apply Alex' eff cal.

## Stella
* RP/FW: what is actually changing, gain or offset
* TC: Interpolating in time has a bias, as we have actually sudden jumps
* RP: cut away the data near the jumps
*

## Outlook, software needs
* Tree analysis session with Dubna
* Need a standard BLR, improved ELET for 2019 data
* Redo (standard) energy calibration
* Data pass later this year, or institute responsibility?
* Neutron analysis (Ahmed?)
* muX paper this summer
* Better sharing coordination between different analysis groups
