Andreas:

What detectors will be available for the september 2022 campaign? Up to 20 HPGe detectors from different institutions (counting miniball as 3).

Unsure: Leuven 70% and 75% and telescope (low energy in front, high energy in the back) are unsure. Availability will depend on the ISOLDE shedule. --> Michael will follow up on this

TUM detectors and MIXE detectors most likely present

IKS (Leuven) trip to PSI at the end of July for installing detectors?

Autofilling system: The filling system should be enough to keep all of the detectors in one cooling circuit.

Digitizer: Frederik will check in Mainz, but this shouldn't be an issue

Neutron detectors: Should we use them in this campaign? Not much effort, 2 HV cables and 2 daq inputs --> Most likely, but think about it a bit more

 

Michael:

Neutron analysis: Overflow events plotted (all overflows have pile-up), parabolic behavior but some discrimination remains present. Curvature most likely caused by underestimated short integral (part not obtainable) --> Reconstruction of overflow region is under development

Perform some simulations in geant4 to get some feeling of the relevance of neutron analysis. Angular distribution of neutron scattering. --> Michael will follow up on this

First gold implanted sample from Surrey is almost ready. Once it arrives in Leuven the implantation profile and concentration will be investigated with RBS --> Michael will follow up on this

 

Nilesh:

Efficiency response investigation at high energy using the 3p-1s transition.

Tightly gated around 4f-3d transition --> Almost no 3p-1s visible

Tried to filter out 3p-2s and 2p-1s with limited success

4f-3d induces the 3d-2p peak in the spectrum --> Cut away or live with it?

Check the inverse processes and add gates --> Nilesh will follow up on this

 

Stella:

Quadrupole and charge radius can't account for the relative shifts between the peaks. No clear systematics from positive/negative shifts. Attempted skin thickness variation, but can't account for relative shifts (within reasonable ranges)

Suggestion Polarizability: rescale and estimate magnitude of the effect

Magnetic part of the hyperfine structure: groundstate has none, but excited states can! Effect of the magnetic dipole effects is work in progress --> Stella will follow up on this

 

Frederik:

Use this year to upgrade to the new DAQ

Some work left on Frederik's side, but more people should get involved with it after (Michael and possibly Katharina)

 

Katharina:

Simulations and calculations on Lithium to Neon elements with the most prominent transitions. Investigating the charge radii dependences on the energies --> Katharina will follow up on this
