A Christmas Poem about SwissFEL

 

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the lab,
Not a particle was stirring, not even a dab.
The experiments were finished, the data was stored,
In hopes that next year, new breakthroughs would be explored.

 

The scientists were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of atoms danced in their heads.
And SwissFEL, the powerful accelerator,
Sat quietly, waiting for its next creator.

 

With its state-of-the-art technology and beamlines so fine,
It's the pride of Switzerland, a true gift divine.
From studying new materials to unlocking the secrets of life,
SwissFEL is a wonder, a true source of strife.

 

So as we all gather 'round the tree this Christmas night,
Let's give thanks to the scientists, who make such wonders alight.
And let us not forget SwissFEL, the shining star,
A true marvel of science, from near and from far.
