We report on the first demonstration of Echo-Enabled Harmonic Generation (EEHG) in the Athos beamline at SwissFEL. In this scheme, the electron beam is manipulated by means of two seed lasers to enable fully coherent FEL emission over the entire bunch. We give a description of the laser systems necessary to achieve EEHG, followed by an account of the beam setup and commissioning steps towards the observation of an EEHG signal.
