Dear colleagues,
The next CPS Snow Day will take place on Friday, 28 February 2025, in the ski area of Flumserberge in the Kanton of St. Gallen. Bad-weather-option date is Friday, 7 March.
The area offers sledging, extensive winter walks and cross-country skiing, all in the backdrop of the beautiful Churfirsten mountain range.
For skiers and snowboarders, the area features 65 km of groomed slopes, ranging from practice runs to skicross, 17 state-of-the-art lifts and gondolas, as well as the 6 km long Terza downhill run.
How to get there:
By car: go to Tannenboden
From Flums, follow the winding road upwards for about 20 minutes until you reach Tannenboden.
If you would be interested in carpooling, please send a note to LSX-Admin@psi.ch and I can put you in touch with someone who ticked the respective box in the registration. In past years, this was mainly organized directly by the participants but I will be happy to assist.
By public transport: go to Unterterzen / return from Tannenboden!
Please note that, as dinner takes us beyond the last gondola time, you need a return ticket from Tannenboden, via Sargans.
Meeting point/ticket collection: Talstation Unterterzen / Tannenboden
Pre-ordered tickets can be collected with Suze at the gondola station in Unterterzen at 08:45. At 09:00, I will catch the gondola to Tannenboden and distribute the remaining tickets. Please note that, whilst you are welcome to order the tickets with me, I will not wait if you are delayed. I can deposit your ticket at the counter, providing you text me early enough. My phone number will follow via e-mail to all participants.
Ski Lessons/Equipment rental
The area features an array of possibilities, everything can be found on the Flumserberg website. Rental shops can be found in Tannenboden, the dinner restaurant is close-by for convenience of rental returns.
Chalet “Rivella” – Apero & Fondue Dinner
After enjoying the day in the snow, we will meet for the apéro, followed by our traditional Fondue dinner. You are cordially invited to take part, CPS will cover the costs for the apéro and dinner. The Chalet "Rivella" is conveniently located at Tannenboden, nearby the gondola station. It is a wooden hut, next to the Restaurant "Colors".
The apéro will start at 17:00, dinner at 18:00.
Lunch
The panorama restaurant Maschgenkamm will be our destination for lunch around 12:15. However, lunch is an open venue, no registration necessary, we meet on informal timing, depending on your skiing schedules.
Ticket prices ski/snowboard - group rate CHF62.00

Tickets for skiers and snowboarders include all lift facilities. In order to benefit from the group rate, the tickets have to be reserved and paid by Friday, 21. February to Susanne Sullivan - EPIA/A1.O3.00. The desk is labelled.

The CPS Snow Day is a social activity day, participation is optional. As per PSI regulations, one such day per employee/year can be registered as "paid leave".
