Overview: PSD Snow Day 2024 at Stoos

Dear colleagues,

The next PSD Snow Day will take place on Friday, 1 March 2024, in the ski area of Stoos in Kanton Schwyz. Due to schedule constraints, there is no alternative date, which means that the Snow Day will take place in (almost) any weather conditions. Hopefully, there will be snow and sunshine but it will be a fun-filled day either way! The ski area of Stoos features 35 km of groomed slopes, ranging from easy to difficult, a beautiful panoramic view, a network of snow hikes as well as sledding trails. It is a relatively small but cozy skiing area.

The world's steepest funicular railway:

We will access the village of Stoos and the ski area with the Stoos funicular railway, featuring barrel shaped carriages which rotate to offer the passengers a level floor during the ascent which covers a height difference of 744 meters at a top level gradient of 110%.

Meeting Point: Talstation Stoosbahn at 09:00 for those who need to collect their pre-ordered ski passes. The "Talstation Stoosbahn" is reachable by public transport and features a nearby car park.

By car: take the motorway exit Schwyz and follow the signposts in the direction of Stoos/Muotathal. The valley station of the Stoos funicular is located directly next to the main road.

By public transport: take the train to Schwyz and board the direct bus to Talstation Schwyz-Stoos.

Stooshüttä & Fondue Dinner

After enjoying the day in the snow, we will meet for the apéro, followed by our traditional Fondue dinner. You are cordially invited to take part, PSI will cover the costs for the apéro and dinner.

The apéro will start at 16:45, dinner at 18:00.

The restaurant Stooshüttä can be reached by ski, foot or sledge and the funicular back down to the valley runs at regular intervals until 22:40.
