Arrival
Rigi-Kaltbad is car-free and can only be reached by cable car or rack railway. There will be tickets for the cable car from Weggis for every participant that can be picked up at the counter of the lower station. The cable car ride from Weggis to Rigi-Kaltbad takes 10 minutes and there are departures every 30 minutes from 8.10 until 19.10 in the evening.
The lower station of the cable has a bus stop nearby, called 'Weggis, Seilbahn'. The nearest airport is Zurich. From there, it is less than two hours by public transport to reach 'Weggis, Seilbahn'. You can find the timetable here, with the most efficient connections being those with a changeover in Rotkreuz.
If you arrive at Basel airport, it takes about three hours to reach 'Weggis, Seilbahn' and you can find the timetable here.
Public transport tickets can be bought locally at ticket machines, on the SBB website linked above, or over the app "SBB Mobile" using your credit card.
Departure
The departure from the hotel is the same as arrival, thus first via cable car and then further on starting from the bus stop 'Weggis, Seilbahn'.
However, if you attend the optional tour of PSI, we arrange transport from the lower cable car station to PSI, and you will afterwards depart directly from PSI:

From PSI the public transport takes about 1h to Zurich airport and 2h to Basel.
The foreseen departure time from PSI is at 16:30. To ease travel, there is the option to stay for one night in the PSI guesthouse. Please do not book the guesthouse directly. If you want to make use of this option, you will be able to specify it in the registration form.
