The third annual workshop on Longitudinal Electron beam Dynamics for coherent Sources (LEDS'26) will be run by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat Main, and it aims to collect the most recent advancements in high brightness electron accelerators. The event will focus on beam collective effects that impact beam's brightness in free-electron lasers and storage rings. We aim for an open exchange of ideas, and we will leave ample time for discussions.
The workshop will run from April 14 to April 16, 2026, in HZB, Berlin, Germany. It will be on invitation, in-person only. More information on the specific topics, the programme and organizational aspects will be provided soon on this website.
The scientific program is intended to cover the following topics:
1. Advancements in RF photo-injectors and optimization strategies
2. Intrabeam Scattering and Energy Spread in linac-FELs
3. Compression Schemes
4. High energy beam transport
5. Femtosecond and sub-fs FEL pulses
6. Advanced electron beam manipulation
7. Preserving coherence in Storage Ring Light Sources
8. Longitudinal manipulation in Storage Ring Light Sources
