Excursion Afternoon – Thursday, 8 October 2026
As part of the traditional Thursday social programme, we propose three excursion options — though the beautiful Walensee region is also yours to explore independently.
Heading up to Flumserberg by cable car, you can choose between a guided Swiss cheesemaking experience (limited to 20 participants — first come, first served) or a scenic alpine hike along the Route of Wonder. We will organise a group cable car ticket. For those who prefer to stay in the valley, a relaxed walk departs directly from the hotel.
🧀 Become a Swiss Cheesemaker (incl. Seejet cable car, limited to 20 participants – first come, first served)
Experience a piece of Swiss alpine tradition and make your own cheese at the historic Brauchtumskäserei on Flumserberg.
Guided by an experienced cheesemaker, participants will learn how cheese was traditionally produced over an open fire and actively participate in the process.

Join us for a scenic panoramic hike on Flumserberg along the beautiful Route of Wonder.
This alpine trail offers impressive mountain scenery, peaceful nature, and spectacular views over the surrounding region.

🌰 Lakeside Walk – Kastanienweg (departure from the hotel)
Prefer a more relaxed afternoon? Join us for an easy walk near Lake Walen inspired by the scenic Kastanienweg.
The route follows quiet paths through forests and open landscapes above the lake, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the region's autumn atmosphere.
The walk starts directly from Zentrum Neu-Schönstatt and is suitable for participants who prefer a shorter and easier outdoor activity.
