PSI Condensed Matter Retreat 2026
The PSI Condensed Matter Retreat brings together early-career and senior scientists working in condensed matter research at PSI. The event aims to promote scientific exchange, encourage networking across laboratories and techniques, and strengthen connections between researchers using neutrons, muons, photons, and complementary methods, as well as theory.
The retreat is aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at researchers from CNM, CSD and CPS. PhD students, postdocs, and junior scientists are especially encouraged to present their work.
This year’s retreat will remain open to all areas of condensed matter research at PSI. Topics include quantum materials, magnetism, superconductivity, topology, ferroics, driven systems, advanced materials and techniques, materials under extreme conditions, and new ideas for future research.
The programme will include regular talks, posters, flash talks, overview talks, and an invited plenary lecture.
The registration fee for this 2-day event is CHF 80.00 per person (includes coffee breaks, lunches and the apéro riche on the first evening).
