From new forms of collaboration to impact: Joint Initiatives Final Event 2026
Over the past three years, ten large-scale initiatives within the ETH Domain and in collaboration with various societal stakeholders have tackled highly complex challenges by closely integrating diverse and complementary expertise across traditional boundaries in the fields of energy, climate and environmental sustainability, as well as engagement and dialogue with society. The work of these interdisciplinary Joint Initiatives networks encompasses pressing national and global objectives such as the development of sustainable materials, studies on climate-friendly construction methods, analyses of ecological systems under climate stress, and the development of new formats for evidence-based societal dialogue.
The closing event marks the culmination of this collaboration. By providing a framework for expert discussions with partner institutions of the ETH Domain and various stakeholder groups, we invite you to learn about and reflect on the progress achieved, exchange experiences on methodological approaches and new forms of collaboration and develop perspectives for further future collaboration and activities.

The conference languages are English and German. Translation will be provided. Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. Please register by 28 August 2026 at the latest.
