Description

The SOLARIS synchrotron in Krakow, Poland, is a third-generation light source operating at 1.5 GeV electron energy. At present, SOLARIS Centre offer access to research instruments at seven beamlines and cryo-electron microscopy laboratory. These instruments provide a state-of-the-art portfolio of spectroscopic and microscopic probes with 200kV accelerated electrons and photons wavelength spanning from infra-red, through vacuum ultraviolet to soft, tender and hard X-rays. SOLARIS is a member of CERIC-ERIC consortium that gathers partner facilities in 8 countries of Central Europe and associated facilities in Italy, France and the Netherlands. The consortium offers access to NMR, mass spectroscopy, neutrons, two synchrotrons and FEL, ions beams, electron microscopes, nanolabs, battery testing, pathogen testing facilities, etc. Use of research infrastructure at SOLARIS and CERIC-ERIC facilities is free of charge for non-proprietary users. CERIC-ERIC is welcoming single and multitechnique proposals and offering to cover travel and accommodation costs for its users.
