Description

A high brightness, hard x-ray source based on an energy recovery linear accelerator (ERL) is currently being developed at the Cornell University. Key component of the facility is a high current, low emittance injector. After a brief overview of the ERL project, the talk will summarize recent results on the commissioning of the Cornell ERL test injector, which ultimately will be capable of providing beam currents of up to 100 mA and sub-micrometer normalized emittance.
