Description
A high intensity UCN source, and an experiment to measure the neutron
Electric Dipole Moment (nEDM) are being developed for TRIUMF. Some new
physics predict nEDM contributions both above the present limit on the
nEDM leading to their abandonment, and just below the present limit
there are several other models vulnerable to the same fate. This talk
will present the research and development being done to design an
ultra cold neutron detector which is capable of handling the proposed
high instantaneous neutron rates in future nEDM measurements.
