Description

The 500 meV proton cyclotron at Canada's National Lab for Particle and Nuclear Physics, TRIUMF, will be used for a spallation driven ultra-cold neutron source. As a first experiment, the search of the neutron electric dipole moment (nEDM) is planned. The talk will cover design and status of the extracted superfluid helium-4 based UCN source and give an overview of the development strategy towards a next generation nEDM experiment
