Description
The UCN source at the Paul Scherrer Institute is in operation since 2011 and
providing UCN e.g. to the neutron EDM experiment.
The operation principle of the source and the way of UCN production will
be explained. The current status of the source and the progress made
since start-up, will be presented, together with ongoing optimizations
and measurements to characterize individual subsystems. In addition,
comparisons between Monte Carlo Simulations of the full source setup and
recent measurements will be shown.
