9th Workshop on the Chemistry of the Heaviest Elements

This workshop addresses experimental and theoretical investigations of the chemical properties of heavy actinide and transactinide elements. Due to the large nuclear charges relativistic effects are expected to strongly influence the chemistry of the so-called "superheavy elements" . This field of fundamental research provides numerous challenges as these heavy and superheavy elements can only be studied "one-atom-at-the-time".
