SwissFEL operation software meeting

Europe/Zurich
Description
Working group for SwissFEL operation panels and tools.
    • Open issues

      Review open issues list

      Convener: Didier Voulot
      optics PVs
      • Camtool feedback from Simon:
        • camtool server deployment: on hold need time to finish the instance management
        • calculation of projection fits (in screen panel): the fitting procedure is not robust enough to converge in a few iteration. This should be improved. Need time. The profile centre of mass and RMS should be provided. These were available in the old camtool com_egu and rms_egu.
      • WSC: new solution pshell + java gui. The qt panel can be removed. The goal remains the development of a user application. Simon will make sure the project dose not diverge too much...
      • Requested regular beam time slot for operation software test. To be discussed with TS. (DV)
      • Magnet PVs are already provided by the online-model. Attached examples of PV names. To be done PV definition and find out how they are suposed to be filled? (CK)
      • Charge integration tool has been tested. Calculation and MPS shutter closing work ok. But the shutter can be reopenned while the alarm is on. Should be corrected. (Most likely same bug for DRM panel.) NH will come up with a user panel concept. Should be compact enought and easy to understand. A possible idea is a matrix with destinations horizontally and the two types of integrations vertically, in each cell one or a few LEDs showing the alarm state plus a link to stripchart tool.
      • Overhead SF overview panel. Need to work on a concept. NH will sketch a panel.
      • Laser heater panel. Chech with the different stake holders and sketch LH user panel. One need to coordinate with laser team, mover controls and HLA (Sven). (NH)
      • ALH bugs in vacuum config. CK will  contact Reno and make sure the config is corrected.
      • Status of of other ALH configs: PLC, magnets, laser, undulators... (CK)
      • PVs for alarm filtering on machine modes (CK)
