SwissFEL operation software meeting

Europe/Zurich
Description
Working group for SwissFEL operation panels and tools.
    • Review list of open issues
      Convener: Didier Voulot
      • BLM/LLM: a python application will be developped by Marco to display loss monitor data, Christoph will provide specifications and guidance
      • Synoptics: a synoptic viewer has been requested again, Nicole will finish the existing synoptics and see if it can be extended to include *some* controls e.g. magnet set-points.
      • HLA: we should iterate after the first meeting end of July, Christof will update the document specifying application interfaces, focussing on the energy and magnet servers. The aim is to have a concrete proposal (channel names and description) that can be discussed in the next meeting.
      • The current plan is to have Masamitsu finishing is energy server to provide magnet K values and energies. Eventually this can be come a simple epics database maintained by operation. We need to agree on the transition.
      • Data format standardisation: this is on-going, Nicole is following-up.
      • Snapshot tool: most point discussed two weeks ago will be implemented by Simon. Open is the question of the sequencer. Probably need more operation experience before we can devide.
      • Daily routine: will need to be checked before the resttart, motor problems? maybe some variable names have changed (I expect not). Would be good to write some measurements to epics PVs.
      • Nicole is working on the first training modules should be ready for the restart of the machine. Need to organise some training slots.
      • A LLRF SwissFEL Academy is foreseen.
