Overview of the HLA development status. In general the situation is good: most tools exist or are in a good stage of development. Didier and Christoph will go through the list again, update it, ensure that all things that need to be in the launcher are in the launcher and identify some priorities that need to be addressed first.
-
A number of applications should be adapted for two bunch operation: BPM, BLM, ICT, MPS?, RF phase calibration ...
-
The loss monitor overview panel should be extended to include DRPS and DRM signals as well as the charge profile. Some menus/commands should be provided to let the user select what to display.
-
The synoptic object in the application could be the base of a more general synoptic tool. It is created dynamically and functions can be associated to each element. To be discussed...
-
Snapshot/Sequencer: a tool to help reloading a snapshot file should be developed. A list of options and functions were defined in the last meeting. A concept and GUI layout should be prepared to be discussed in a coming meeting. Action Christoph?
-
Independently from this a generic sequencer tool could be developed to automatize operation tasks as proposed by Christoph. This is more ambitious and will require more time to develop.
-
Statistics: a set of channels are available to record downtimes as a function of shift category. Some python tools (Jupyter) are under preparation to identify downtimes and associate them with a cause using MPS archived data. Action Didier.
-
Archive viewer: The web tool is not really satisfactory, difficult to adapt scales, too few plotting options. A separate viewer should be created to quickly/better display archived data. Similar tools exist already for HIPA and SLS. Alessandro will collect a list of features/ideas to be discussed at the next meeting.
-
Stripchart should be upgraded to provide an acoustic alarm in replacement for Tendis which is no longer maintained. Action Nicole?
-
A temperature and ventilation overview panel has been prepared and will be released soon. This should help understanding GLS alarms or any problems associated with OSFA ventilation.(Alessandro)
-
The motion overview panel has been upgraded with the phase shifter controls. (Alessandro)
-
The ELOG config for the commissioning data ELOG should be updated, some categories/options relevant for automatic entries should be provided. The content for standard measurement entries of tools should be defined. Action Didier + Christoph.
-
Data format: Christoph will propose some modifications to the existing structure and set of meta-data, to be more in line with the Nexus format. An example implementation will be provided, this should be discussed before implementation by controls. A library should be provided for python programmes.
-
A document describing SF programming standards is available on the wiki page: https://intranet.psi.ch/Swiss_FEL/SFHLAbestpractices. Input and feedback are welcome.
