PSD Snow Day 2019

Dear colleagues

The 2nd PSD Snow Day will take place on

Friday, 22nd February 2019 (draft of the day program)

alternative date: Friday, 1st March 2019 (depending on the weather condition on 22nd February)

Location

The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun not only comprises two ski areas, but also two languages, two cultures and two cantons. The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun is the largest ski area in Central Switzerland and is one of the most attractive in Switzerland thanks to the wide range of offers, the snow guarantee and the numerous sun terraces.

Excellently groomed slopes, snow-covered slopes for freeriders, well-maintained winter hiking trails and sunny snowshoe trails, children's paradises, a fun park, a varied gastronomic scene, a wellness oasis, lots of local culture and cheerful people. Come and visit us and see for yourself!

The northern slopes of the Gemsstock are predestined for powder snow descents, while the sun-exposed slopes in the Andermatt-Oberalp-Sedrun area ensure relaxing and family-friendly excursions to restaurants, the children's paradise, wide pistes and toboggan runs. The ski area in the heart of the Swiss Alps offers a wide range of pistes for beginners and top skiers alike, sunny slopes and a wide variety of activities.

Dinner

After enjoying the snow either by skiing, snowboarding or walking, we will complete the day at the restaurant ...... You are cordially invited for dinner meaning PSD takes over the food whereas the drinks are at your own expense.

How to get there? Either by train or car...

Andermatt can easily be reached by a 2 hour ride by train from Zurich. However, you need to change trains.

May I also draw your attention to the Skiexpress? This coach leaves from Zurich on Friday, 22.2. at 8 am from the parking opposite Zurich Main Station and cost CHF 69.00 (ride and ski daypass included). Bear in mind, with this option you won't be able to join the dinner.

From Zurich or Lugano the journey via the Highway takes less than 90 minutes to Göschenen. From there, Andermatt can be reached within 10 minutes via the Schöllenen gorge.

Parking is available in the 24-hour multi-storey car park Andermatt Reuss or at the Gemsstock valley station, at the train station or for cross-country skiers at The Nordic House.

All parking spaces are subject to a charge.

FYI

The PSD Snow Day is a social activity day. Participation is optional - PSI limits one day as «paid leave»  per person and calendar year. The list of participants will be forwarded to PSI Human Resources.
