General discussion:

Michail Anthanasakis-Kaklamanakis would like to join the radium beamtime in September. He's wrapping up his PhD on laser spectroscopy of radioactive molecules at CRIS. He is particularly interested in the charge radius of radium.

Michael:

Efficiency

Looked at count rate of lead from plate on top of the veto as a function of time difference with muon --> Slight effect --> Only very minor (<1%) correction to efficiency

No improvement on the counts of the lead calibration plate --> Still missing some contribution?

Settings seem the same in two sets of measurements

Recalibration

Can't find peak shape that works for all peaks --> Discuss with Stella to constrain/fix parameters

In some detectors I see a linear/quadratic trend in the residuals

Potential new calibration sources for this year? Zr-95 and Rb-83 from ISOLDE and ILL might be possible (range 500-600 and 700-800)

Neutron damage

Send some data from our beamtime to Razvan --> No clear neutron damage to detectors

Stella:

Effect of the nuclear charge distribution

Higher order deformation --> No clear indication in Close et al. --> Will look into it, but don't expect much of an effect --> Stella will follow up

Spherical shell + quadrupole deformed outer shell or pure hard quadrupole? --> Could defintely have an impact --> Stella will follow up

Germanium detectors for this year

No new detectors from Thomas --> Clover probably around december

75% from Leuven is fixed

Detectors from Munich are back

Razvan will most likely send 3 detectors, the 2 others seem unlikely

Potential additional beam for Ra

ESA needs the cyclotron --> Accelerator is started 10 days earlier. Possibly more beam for us (we would like 5 days MIXE and 5 days muX)

If possible, probably 16/05-21/05

Stella and Andreas aren't here

Week before the LISA conference --> Some people from Leuven might be able to join for a bit, but likely have to go back on the 20th

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
