Tap Water

Tap water is safe to drink in Switzerland. A free water dispenser is available on-site. Please remember to bring your own bottle

Social Dinner

The social dinner will be held at the restaurant "Open" in Brugg, on Thursday January 15th starting at 19:30 h.
The dinner is self-paid and will cost ~60 CHF per person (excluding drinks). Credit cards are accepted.  

VAT and Tipping 

Tips in bars and restaurants are already included in the bill. However, it is common to round up the total. Additional gratuities are always appreciated by the personnel.

All shop prices include value-added tax (MwSt), which is 8.1%.

Swiss power supply is 230 V / 50 Hz with standard SEV 1011 plugs. Please bring your own adapter if needed.

Public transport 

Public transportation works reliably in Switzerland. The train and bus network is extensive and allows travel to virtually any destination in the country by public transportation: https://www.sbb.ch/en. 

Hours of Business

Most shops are open until 6 pm. Bars and pubs typically close between 11 pm–3 am on weekends, and earlier on weekdays. 

Insurance and liability 

The organizers of the WPMAG Final Meeting do not accept liability for medical, travel, or personal insurance. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrange their own insurance.
