Description

In order to precisely understand and characterise UCN behaviour after production at the Paul Sherrer Institute, transport, storage, and finally detection in the n2EDM experiment, a tailored simulation framework is being developed using the PENTrack software. In addition, two custom-made packages are being developed, that facilitate the configuration and analysis of those simulations. The framework includes UCN dynamics via gravity; transmission through, and reflection from, material surfaces; moving geometries; and interactions with magnetic fields. This work presents the development of such flexible end-to-end simulation framework as well as preliminary comparison with MCUCN and actual data measurements.
