PSI Thesis Medal

The PSI Thesis Medal 2013 has been awarded to Matti M. van Schooneveld, Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, Mühlheim a.d.R., Germany. The picture was taken during the award ceremony showing Matti together with the chairman of the evaluation committee J. Friso van der Veen.

PSI thesis medal In 2009 the Paul Scherrer Institut established a new prize consisting of a medal, a certificate and a prize money (CHF 5.000,-) to be awarded for an outstanding PhD thesis related to the PSI user facilities. The prize will be awarded every second year in the framework of the JUM@P user meetings. Former prize winners were Florian Piegsa (2009) and Elena Mengotti (2011).
